DRAWINGS FROM SUSAN ROECKER'S MASTER'S CLASS

February 6 through March 13, 1999

The exhibit features a broad range of works by

  • LISA CICERO
  • BERNADETTE CONROY
  • JAY DALTON
  • BILLY KIM
  • DIANE McGREEVY

The class by Art Lab Instructor Susan Roecker focuses on seeing and perception through a whole lot of drawings.

Lisa Cicero: "When drawing, I like simple shapes and line. I try to incorporate space with unusual and interesting lines."

Bernadette Conroy is developing an eye for tone and value in representing spatial relationships using conte on paper.

Jay Dalton: "I hope to develop a strong foundation in drawing as an enjoyable end in itself and because it is essential for success in other disciplines as well."

Billy Kim's drawings directly portray the essential natures of his subjects.

Diane McGreevy: "I am evoking a spontaneity which I have never done before instead of fussy reality."
